As part of the 4th International Organ Festival “Orgulje sv. Stošije”, taking place from 27 May to 20 September 2027 in the Cathedral of St. Anastasia in Zadar, we are delighted to announce the performance of world-renowned organist Jonathan Scott, scheduled for July 2027.
Jonathan Scott is regarded as one of today’s leading organists, with an international career marked by appearances at the most prestigious concert venues and festivals worldwide. He is especially known for his virtuosic and imaginative transcriptions of major orchestral works for the pipe organ, bringing a powerful symphonic dimension and exceptional expressive depth to the instrument.
As Associate Artist of The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, and through his work with the Scott Brothers Duo, Scott has achieved a global profile as an artist who brings the organ closer to wider audiences.

Major Projects and Collaborations
Among his most significant concert highlights are performances with the National Chinese Orchestra of Taiwan and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, as well as gala concerts marking the reopening of organs at Rochdale Town Hall (UK), St Mary’s Basilica in Kevelaer (Germany), and All Saints Church in Warsaw (Poland).
A particular highlight is his solo recital at the BBC Proms 2024, broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall in London. Jonathan also gave the world premiere of Sir Karl Jenkins’ organ concerto 6000 Pipes! and has since performed it internationally, including a gala performance with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by the composer.
Scott Brothers Duo
Alongside his solo career, Jonathan performs extensively with his brother, pianist Tom Scott, as the Scott Brothers Duo. The duo is the winner of the ECHO (European Cities of Historical Organs) competition with a project that introduces the organ to younger audiences by combining animation and organ music. At the invitation of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, they also recorded a special online presentation about their career in Montreal.
Education and Awards
Born in Manchester, Jonathan Scott studied piano and organ at Chetham’s School of Music and continued his studies in the United Kingdom, United States, and the Netherlands. He is a recipient of the Worshipful Company of Musicians WT Best Scholarship and Gold Medal and holds the title of Freeman of the City of London.
