DANIEL MOULT - SOLOIST CONCERT OF ST. KRSEVAN 23.11.2025.

For the third year in a row, we are giving the city a festive organ concert in the Cathedral of St. Anastasia on the eve of the feast of St. Chrysogonus, the patron saint of the city of Zadar, and the Day of the City of Zadar. The English organist Daniel Moult will play Chrysogonus's gift on November 23, 2025 at 6:00 PM after the festive Vespers.

Daniel Moult was born in 1973 in Manchester, England. He is now an internationally renowned concert organist, organ teacher and musical artist.
He studied at Oxford University and the Amsterdam Conservatory. After graduating he was organist and assistant director of music at Coventry Cathedral. He continued his career as a freelance artist in London in 2003. Since 2017 he has been Head of the highly regarded Organ Department at the Royal Conservatoire of Birmingham, where he has led the commissioning of five new organs for which he is also the principal consultant.
Daniel regularly performs and gives masterclasses throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. He is in high demand throughout Europe as a teaching assistant. He has also given many courses in the UK for the Royal College of Organists. He has appeared on various CDs and DVDs, including a solo concert on Handel Signum Classics at Vauxhall. He pioneered the use of film as a means of promoting organ music and is the presenter and performer of the massive seven-disc box set, The English Organ. “Simply put, this is one of the most important organ recordings of all time” (Fanfare). He presents and performs on two new box sets: Bach and Expression with Martin Schmeding, featuring some of the finest historical instruments in central Germany, and The Great Toccata recorded in Groningen and Leens.

He has published several works, including various organ anthologies for Bärenreiter. He has broadcast frequently on BBC television and radio and recorded for various labels including Fugue State, Signum, Regent and Sony BMG.

His playing has been praised as "exciting" (Gramophone: Editor's Choice), "brilliant" (Organ) and "terrifying" (Organist Review). He plays "with intelligence, agility and a slow rise to absolute authority" (Choir and Organ).
