ORGANIST
Nikola Cerovečki earned his Master’s degree in Organ Performance at the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb, studying under Ljerka Očić.
He then continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (Kunstuniversität Graz), where he graduated in the class of Gunther Rost and obtained the title Master of Arts. He has participated in numerous masterclasses in organ interpretation led by renowned artists such as Christoph Bossert, Ludger Lohmann, Nathan Laube, Hans Fagius, and Martin Schmeding. Among his most significant awards are first prizes at regional and national HDGPP competitions, prizes at the Martha Debelli Competition, and the award of the Croatian Composers’ Society for the best performance of a work by Anđelko Klobučar at the “Darko Lukić – Youth” platform in Lisinski Hall.
As a soloist, he regularly performs at many festivals in Croatia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungary, and Slovenia. Notable appearances include concert series such as:
Organs of the Zagreb Cathedral, Young Artists at Lisinski, organ@Mumuth, Orgelfrühling Steiermark, Orgeltriduum Hamm, Siegburger Orgelzyklus, Nei Suoni dei Luoghi, and the Don Petar Nakić Organ Festival. Alongside his concert activities, he serves as the organist of the Franciscan Church in Graz and teaches organ at the Helmut Schmidinger Music School in Graz.
