Paul Fey was born in 1998 in a small town near Leipzig, Germany. At the age of 15, he was introduced to the organ in the local church. He studied with A.F. Kipping and Stefan Kießling, former organist of St. Thomas Church in Leipzig. After full-time studies of organ and sacred music at the specialist university in Halle (Saale), he is now a full-time musician, composer and ‘Youtuber’. He was appointed one of the organists of St. Thomas Church in Leipzig and also works with the choirs there. Paul gives concerts all over the world, records videos and presents the organ on his YouTube channel. In the Cathedral of St. Anastasia in Zadar, Paul gave two concerts. The first on the eve of the feast of St. Chrysophanes on 23. 11. 2023 and the second on 9. 8. 2024. For the second concert he specially composed Organ Sonata 2 on the organ of the Cathedral of St. Anastasia (32' Contra Bombarde included!). It begins with a very mystical theme that begins to develop throughout the work. This is followed by a theme for flute, a fugato movement and a grand finale with Bombardes and Trumpets!
Paul's website has the appropriate organ music available in print and digital form.
